Spray tanning lotions can be applied in special tanning booths, automatically. The other method includes the presence of a technician. He uses airbrush for applying spray tanning lotions on your entire body.

Some people prefer booths, especially those who a shy, but interested in all over tan. Resulting tan is even, streak-free and flawless, and everything is done very quickly. Others prefer to be treated by a technician. He is using airbrush for applying spray tanning lotions. This may take a little longer, but those people are highly experienced, and final results are even better.

The skin needs to be prepared. You have to be shaved, of course, and you need to do that at least a day before the actual treatment. If you apply spray tanning lotions immediately after shaving, you might end up with small spots all over your legs, because your skin needs some time to heal. It doesn't look very appealing.

Every good sunless tan product is based on DHA, or dihydroxyacetone. This active compound is sugar-based, and it reacts with amino acids in the most outer skin layer. The product of this reaction is your desired bronze skin, and the intensity depends mostly on DHA concentration and added color enhancers. DHA alone needs time to develop deep shades, and color enhancers are added to speed up the process.

To make sure your color will be flawless and long-lasting, it is important to exfoliate your skin. This is especially important when you have problematic areas on your elbows or heels. Dry skin soaks too much lotion, and it may become darker. Smooth and cleansed skin will look better when you apply spray tanning lotions, and resulting color will last longer.

Good hydration is especially important. Use quality moisturizers daily, to soften and regenerate your skin, before and after applying spray tanning lotions. Don't forget, you shouldn't use any deodorant or perfumes before applying sunless tan products on your skin. They might cause strange reactions you surely want to avoid. Choose yourself a nice bronze color and enjoy in your summer glow.
