While there are many prophecies that can be found in the Bible, one very interesting one can be found in Daniel. The Book of Daniel Prophecy contains the hardest chapters to decipher. However, it is important because it also contains some visions about the end times that all Christians have to take note of.
Now, the visions of war are found somewhere in chapters ten, eleven, and twelve, all stating about the wars that may lead up to the final end times. Now, when one would read the vision, he or she would most likely draw some similarities to some prophecies from the book of Revelation. However, there are many other things in this book that have details not written in Revelations.
One very interesting thing to take note was that the vision started after the third year of Cyrus but was given to Daniel during the third year. It showcased the succeeding battles of Cyrus, the conqueror of Babylon. The angel who gave the vision was Gabriel the archangel before any of these events took place.
The next part of the vision showed a battle against the prince of Greece which signified another big battle after Cyrus. True enough, this was the battle of Macedonia and Greece waged by none other than Alexander The Great. The vision did not really emphasis his conquest though but did showcase him as the prince of Greece.
Next, the vision also showed the rise of the huge Roman Empire that happened sometime during sixty four BC up to seventy AD. This was followed by the fall of Jerusalem when Pompey invaded which was sometime in sixty three BC. Lastly, the angel predicted the death of yet again one of the big kings that would rule the world which is none other than the great Julius Caesar.
The thing about the last chapter, which is chapter twelve, is that there are a few ways of interpreting it. Firstly, it could be the depiction of the coming of Jesus Christ as well as the resurrection after the cross leading to a new kingdom of Israel. From there, many struggles and tribulations would come until the Christ returns.
The Christian millennials, on the other hand, interpret this last chapter as the restoration of the modern day Israel as well as the return of Christ. They would also interpret the last few chapters of chapter eleven as the rise of the Antichrist who started taking over the world. This chapter showcases the rise of the Antichrist as well as his or her fall.
As one can see, this is definitely one very interesting chapter that can be found in the book of Daniel. What makes it extremely interesting though, is that the prophet was able to predict the coming of four great princes that would sweep the nations one after the other. All of those things did come true but what makes this chapter even more interesting is the coming of end times which Christians believe to be a time of challenges wherein the Messiah would come back for the believers.
