Segregate the items properly. Take note that not all things can be recycled. You must have enough knowledge as to what are the things that can be recycled and those that needs to be thrown already. When collecting these things, make sure that you also know where you would use them.

Organize the scrap. Sort out those things that you think could be put into good use. Compile all the items that are of the same class so that you can easily find them when they are needed. You may put them in a box and label it for an easy and quick search.

Inquire your local government. When you have already collected these scrap items, seek assistance from your local officials. Ask the officials in your local government about recycling scrap materials. Inquire if there are some rules and regulations that you need to follow.
