Facilitating A Baptist Church Youth Ministry

By Gregory Brooks

As a new ministry leader, there is still so much that you need to learn. So, begin with the tips that will be given below. In that situation, you are going to be successful in bringing back His children. You do not need a grand recognition for that. What is essential is that you are becoming effective in the area which you have been assigned to.

You would have to possess a deeper purpose for all the activities which one is going to come up with. Allow your Baptist Church youth ministry in Oklahoma to be welcoming yet organized at the same time. With this kind of set up, you shall be able to explain your decisions to the elders and get their approval.

Be humble enough to admit that you do not know everything there is with these to teach these teens. However, you can be consistent in showing to them how much you have been changed by your faith. It may not have happened in one day alone but the journey is something which you can be proud of.

Be closer to those who remain to be detached with everything that is going on around them. Know their apprehensions but do not force into doing something which they are not comfortable with. Be a leader rather than a dictator. This an effective way for your disciples to hang on to your every word at this point.

Be true to everything that one is saying. Your constituents may be young but they already have this notion when one is just being forced to state something to their teeth. So, be a complete disciple of God before anything else. With that enforcement, you shall start to feel better about yourself and that can reflect in everything you do.

Have a personal connection with the newest members of the community. This is not only good for your disciples but it can be life changing for you as well. Yes, you are accustomed to doing things on your own but it can be fruitful to here people say that they want to help you out. Bring back that connection with other individuals.

Enlighten them to share their testimonies even when they are shy about it. Help them in building their confidence at such a young age and they shall be thankful to you in the end. Make them see that in the first time in their life, they do not have to be afraid of criticism.

Get to know their parents. Give them an assurance that their teens are safe hands. These would lead the latter to be more participative with your activities. It is really important that you encourage more people of today to bring themselves closer to the Creator. Let them have more meaning in their life.

Just remain to feel spiritual guided about everything. In that scenario, you shall not push through with activities that can put anyone in danger. The Holy Spirit will still be there regardless of whether you are in a simple meeting room or in a beautiful resort.
