By Rian Mahon

Summer is the best season for family and other types of vacations and Bulgaria is in the list of European countries that offer great opportunities for spending unforgettable time there. Whether you plan short or long stay, Bulgarian Black Sea coast guarantees rest, a lot of fun, as well as beautiful, sunny and sandy beaches.

Many of the luxury hotels are built next to the sea, so their guests can enjoy the sea and the beach whenever they want. However, since there is usually a shortage of spare rooms during the peak season that is in July and August, we recommend you to book your room well in advance. Actually, the tourist season is active from the end of May until the end of September.

The most popular beach resorts are Sunny Beach, Golden Sands and Albena, although there are many others smaller but not less attractive summer resorts, like St. Vlass, St. Konstantin and Elena, Kiten, Nesebar, etc. While Sunny Beach is located in the southern part of the coast, Golden Sands and Albena are in its northern part and in close proximity to each other. Both Sunny Beach and Golden Sands have great Aqua Parks where children and adults have a lot of fun.

They all are characterized by ideal conditions for sun bathing and relaxation, as well as first-class accommodation. Sunny summer weather without rains is another factor that draws more and more tourists from near and far.

This and other benefits offered by Bulgarian Sea resorts make this country preferred summer holiday destination that is in the list of the top European holiday places. Tourists will experience here so fulfilling summer retreat that will keep coming next holiday season again. This region is rich in nature and cultural landmarks, such as "The Stone Forest" near to Varna, which is a real temptation for young and old people.

Varna is the third biggest city in Bulgaria, but it is known also as a Sea capital, due to the great sandy beaches it provides. But this is not all you can see in this seaside city, as it also offers great art galleries, museums, theaters, cultural monuments and many other entertainments. If you plan a family holiday in this city, you should necessarily visit the Sea Garden, where the Zoo, Aquarium and Dolphinarium are located.

The beaches are clean and safe with beach guards that watch for the tourists' safety. The serenity that reigns in these resorts is striking and very advantageous for tourists who would like to escape from their hectic way of life. This tranquility continues up till the evening, when the place is transformed into a colorful noisy fair, where everyone can find what he needs. The streets are full of painters, traders, shops and restaurants, along with nightclubs that attract young tourists and keep them entertained up till the morning. Bulgaria is considerably safe place during the nights, so people feel safe when taking their after-dinner walk.

Restaurants provide excellent opportunity to taste original Bulgarian meals, like "tarator", "banitsa", etc. and entertain their guests with live music and dancing waiters. You may probably notice that not all of the waiters are professionally trained, but you will nevertheless be satisfied with the services and the menu.
